Voip Setup

Step 1

Open the box, and take out the Linksys Phone Adapter, power supply and Ethernet cable.

Step 2

Find the Ethernet cable connected to the back of your computer. Remove it and plug it into the Linksys Phone Adapter to the blue jack labeled Internet.

Step 3

Take the Ethernet cable that was included in the Linksys Phone Adapter box and plug it into the yellow jack labeled Ethernet. Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into your computer.

Step 4

Plug the Linksys power adapter in to your power strip, and connect the other end to your Linksys Phone Adapter.

Step 5

Connect a phone into the Linksys Phone Adapter jack ‘Phone 1’

Step 6

On the front of the Linksys Phone Adapter, three lights should be on.
The first light shows power.
The second light shows Internet traffic.
The third light shows that you have dial tone.

Step 7

Test your connection by picking up the phone. You should now hear a dial tone.
